USPHS Ensemble Performs at the World War II Memorial

On 18 July 2015 the United States Public Health Service Music Ensemble presented a concert on the national mall at the World War II Memorial. Distinguished guests included thirty World War II veterans from San Antonio, TX. These veterans were serenaded with the official songs of the seven uniformed services, followed by a medley of musical numbers from the World War II era. The concert concluded with a tribute to Africa in recognition of the PHS deployment to Liberia to fight the Ebola virus and patriotic arrangements entitled “An American Tribute” and “Let Freedom Ring.” The Ensemble is an all-volunteer groups comprised of officers from the United States Public Health Service, one of this country’ seven uniformed services.
