USPHS Officers Receive AMSUS Awards

AMSUS, the Society of Federal Health Professionals and fellow member of The Military Coalition, announced dozens of USPHS officers as 2015 AMSUS Award Recipients. The Monrovia Medical Unit (MMU) received the Humanitarian Assistance Award. CAPT George Durgin, working for the Bureau of Prisons, received the Joel T. Boone Award. The MMU Team 1 received the Operational Medicine Award. VADM Mike Cowan, Executive Director of AMSUS, handed out the awards with RADM Sylvia Trent-Adams, Deputy Surgeon General.
